Black Madonna

It has been a long time since I have posted. Wanted to let you know the current status of my books. The Black Madonna was picked up by Black Opal and the people are very helpful and my fellow writers encouraging. The Black Opal has a contract that only allows me to put two chapters on the site so I have not been able to do any more posting regarding my book. It is in its second round of editing and should be out before the end of the year.

Icelandia I just finished and has been sent into the publisher.

Matty’s Adventures in Numberland is being finalized and should be out before the end of the year.

I have written two other children’s books and as soon as the artwork is finished I will be looking for a publisher.

I am now writing a novel about the American Revolution and the Culper Spy Ring. Stay with me, more information to come.

A Note from the Author

ImageGood Morning fellow Writer’s and readers of my blog

Good news, Black Madonna is up on the queue to be edited shortly and will be published.

Icelandia is in the editing stage and this Friday I will be attending a conference in Clovis, California with fellow writers, publishers, and editors.

Matty’s Adventures in Numberland is in the final stages of illustrations and I look forward to it being released shortly. Given my background I know the frustrations of students and their parents in learning and helping their child learn math. So let’s go back in time where learning was fun, creativity important and the outcome, knowledge that is acquired and used.

Thank you all for being on this journey with me. I’m in the process of writing Noah and Buddy Save Christmas for the Holidays and beginning a novel regarding Illiam Dhone and the battle of the Manx against Cromwell and England. Luci will be making a come back in that novel . Next out there is secrets of the Voynich papers and our first spy ring, can you guess who started it?

The Black Madonna; Esclarmonde’s birth

ImageHe raped her in a drunken state and never thought to hear from her again, Esclarmonde thought. She vowed she would never let this happen to her.

The next morning he drew with a chalky substance a picture on a stone relief of two knights on a horse, Sigillum Militum Christi, the sign of the Knights Templar, a seal of the Warrior for Christ. Without another thought of the abbess he raped, he mounted his steed and rode away not knowing that he had impregnated Na, my mother.  After a few months, she began to show her pregnancy and because of her position at the nunnery, she left and returned home to her family. It was a long and difficult journey to her village. Na was exhausted and ashamed of what had befallen her. Her family took her in but her countrymen shunned her. In her distress, she gave birth early to twins, a boy that she Loup and a girl, Esclarmonde.

Weakened by the shame of pregnancy and the journey to her parent’s home up north, Na Ermingarda died giving birth and Loup and I were given to a wet nurse, I was later told.

Esclarmonde’s Diary

“I will slit your throat and anyone else I find here if you don’t do as I commanded,” the Count whispered. Na could only comply; there were many nuns in the chapel that she must protect. Throwing her onto her back, he mounted her, lifting her gown and thrusting himself deep inside her. She grasped him tightly around his back as he moved in and out of her. He began to spill his seed inside, tearing her vagina. Drunk as he was, there was no stopping him. He threw Na on her stomach. With dirty fingers holding her, he pushed himself deeper and deeper until she bled. Finally, exhausted, he rolled off her and passed out.
